11-11

Today is 11-11, a big day. Veteran's Day. HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY to all that serve us. It's also sweet Madeline Spohr's birthday. The sweet baby pictured on the left in my side bar that left us too soon. And, it was also quite eventful 6 & 10 years ago which brings us to this post (it's a re-post, but with edits!).

Many of you know that my kids were due on the same day March 31st- but I had Gavin on March 24 and Grayce, March 26. Every event was about the same with both, just 4 years apart. Gavin's US at 20 weeks had been on Veteran's Day, I think because I worked at a bank then and it was closed, so it was a great day for the Dr. When it was time for Grayce's 20 week to find out her sex- the nurse just scheduled it at my previous appointment and handed me the card. AFTER we had Grayce's, it was only then I realized their ultrasounds had the same date on them, 4 years apart, within an hour of each other. And so, 11-11 is when we found out what both babies would be.

(THIS IS PART THAT MAKES IT OBVIOUS I AM RE-POSTING!)
And, then of course, there is 11-11-08. The day Taylor Swift's new album Fearless came out. I must say we got ours (yesterday as in, 11/10/08) in the mail, because I pre-ordered. I think I talked about that before. The first ever so many that ordered, got to send in their pictures and have them in the CD cover somewhere. Way cool for Grayce. (PS This is the first time I have ever pre-ordered an album of any sort--or waited for a new one to come out. Things you do for small fans!) Okay, so below is the pull out from the CD cover- turns out its a mosaic of all the faces making up the picture. Pretty cool. You can go to http://www.thetaylornation.com/ and type in GRAYCE and find her.

Which is how we found her here below- she is in the picture FOUR times total. She thought this was downright awesome.

We do (STILL) love the CD. (Obviously, if you follow me you know we still have serious Taylor love around here, and were excited when even more new music came out from her a couple of weeks ago. And we've also been to another concert!) We had watched her on Letterman
the night before
(as in 11-10-08) singing the title track. Tonight, Grayce would be constantly asking during the CMA awards (again!) when she would be on, but Gavin has a football game and we won't be here!

But, Happy 11-11, a very special day!
Here's to Veteran's, Maddie, baby gender, and Taylor Swift!

Ok, I just read you side bar about your son. I may try to e.mail you tomorrow and ask some ADD questions. I am beginning to think my son my have this. He is the same age as your son and the behavior he exhibits is likely to be this. Most recently his grades have been slipping. :[
